About the role

Nunnally Chevrolet is seeking a Certified Transmission Technician to join their busy service department. The ideal candidate will be a diagnostic expert with a strong background in modern drivetrains.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose complex transmission and drivetrain issues using electronic tools and road testing.
  • Perform high-quality repairs, replacements, and rebuilds on a variety of vehicles (with a heavy focus on Chevrolet/GM).
  • Communicate clearly with Service Advisors regarding repair needs and estimated timelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Certified in Automatic Transmission/Transaxle (A2) and Manual Drive Train & Axles (A3) from ASE.
  • GM Factory Certification is preferred.
  • A proven track record of diagnosing, stripping, and rebuilding complex transmissions.
  • Tech-savvy with ability to utilize advanced diagnostic software.
  • An efficiency-focused mindset with a "fixed right the first time" approach.
  • An integrity-driven attitude committed to transparency and excellence.
