Generators Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

Bassett Services is seeking a customer-focused Generator Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for individuals who excel at building customer relationships, identifying opportunities to improve customer satisfaction, and serving as a trusted advisor to homeowners.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on residential standby generators.
• Conduct basic troubleshooting and identify potential equipment issues.
• Clearly communicate maintenance findings and recommendations to customers.
• Educate homeowners on generator operation, maintenance needs, and available service plans.
• Identify additional service opportunities and make appropriate recommendations based on customer needs.
• Build trust and establish long-term relationships with customers through exceptional service.
• Document maintenance activities, inspections, and customer interactions accurately.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in a professional manner.
• Collaborate with dispatch and management to ensure efficient scheduling and customer communication.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company standards.

Preferred Experience

• Generator, electrical, HVAC, automotive, or mechanical experience.
• Experience presenting service recommendations or maintenance agreements.
• Familiarity with ServiceTitan or similar field-service software.
