Generator Technician

The Generator Service & Maintenance Division is seeking qualified Generator Service Technicians to maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and test generators ranging from 5 kW to 4,000 kW while providing best‑in‑class service to customers.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and test 5 kW – 4,000 kW generator systems.
• Interact with customers and provide exceptional service.
• Correctly complete required paperwork.
• Read and apply technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Operate heavy equipment, forklifts, and mobile cranes in accordance with OSHA regulations.
• Participate in on‑call pager rotations, weekend, holiday, and shift work, including occasional out‑of‑town travel and overnight stays.

Requirements

• Mechanical and electrical aptitude with experience in diesel generators.
• Technical schooling or experience in automotive, transportation, commercial or residential electrical fields; military experience is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and use new technologies.
• Ability to safely operate heavy equipment, forklifts, and mobile cranes per OSHA standards.
• Certified Journeyman Electrician is a plus but not required.

Compensation

Total Estimated Compensation: $87,600.00 – $137,280.00
