About the role
This opportunity is in Birmingham, AL and is a full-time role focused heavily on diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of residential and light commercial standby generator systems.
Responsibilities
- Service and repair generators: change air filters, change oil, check battery levels, check spark plugs, etc.
- Perform on-site planned maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and troubleshooting for customers generators (includes DC & AC Voltage equipment)
- Work independently or with a small team and company vehicle servicing residential and commercial standby generators
- Involves multiple appointments per day
- Provide excellent customer service, craftsmanship, and attention to detail with your work
Requirements
- 4 years of experience minimum in a mechanical setting working on 8kw-100kw generators
- Proven knowledge of preventative maintenance, load bank testing, and engine diagnostics
- Ability to read and comprehend technical documents and service manual
- Basic set of tools, specialty tools will be provided
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and work outside
- Valid driver’s license
