The Generator Technician performs skilled inspection, testing, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of emergency electrical generator systems serving City buildings, facilities, and infrastructure. This position ensures generators and associated transfer switches remain operational and ready to support critical City services during normal operations and emergencies. The Generator Technician reports to the Utility Foreman and works collaboratively with the Pump and Motor Controls Department and other City personnel to maintain reliable utility and emergency power systems.
