Generalist I - Wrapper

About the role

The Wrapper position at Chart Industries plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process of the company's products. The primary responsibility involves connecting the inner tank to the wrapping machine to insulate the tank using machinery. Other duties include preparing the outer tank for installation, stuffing the inner tank into the outer tank, taking measurements, reading Bill of Materials (BOMs) and drawings, completing required documentation, adhering to established safety and quality procedures, maintaining a clean work area, and ensuring all tasks are performed to ISO standards.

Responsibilities

• Connect inner tank to wrapping machine to insulate tank using machinery
• Prepare outer tank for installation
• Stuff inner tank into outer tank
• Take measurements and read BOMs and drawings
• Complete required documentation on all work performed
• Understand and adhere to established safety and quality procedures
• Maintain a clean work area and practice general acceptable housekeeping standards
• Perform all tasks to ISO standards and requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Basic math skills
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure
• Ability to learn how to read BOMS and drawings
• Overtime and weekend hours, as needed

Preferred

• Forklift experience
• Familiarity with ISO procedures
• Previous manufacturing experience
