About the Role
This position involves performing essential warehouse functions in a fast-paced distribution environment. The role requires the ability to work with minimal supervision, adapt to shifting work demands, and maintain a strong focus on safety and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with internal customers and management.
- Follow detailed instructions and maintain a detail-oriented approach.
- Use electronic devices such as tablets, radios, and scanners.
- Perform basic math functions, including counting, adding, and subtracting accurately.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, supporting safety programs.
- Comprehend oral and written communication to read labels, tickets, and product documentation.
- Become proficient with Warehouse Management Systems, RF, and voice-directed picking.
- Perform assigned general housekeeping duties.
- Report all accidents, injuries, near misses, and hazardous conditions immediately.
- Process inbound and outbound shipments as needed.
- Assist in other production facets and work at different workstations as required.
- Conduct work safely and adhere to safety methods.
- Work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate dependability and flexibility when working in other production areas.
- Meet production standards on specific assignments within required time frames.
- Maintain quality and accuracy in material handling functions.
- Move product by hand or with a manual pallet jack to/from production areas.
- Move materials to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and order processing areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Prior general warehouse/material handler experience preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for 8 to 10 hours a day.
- Repetitively reach up and out.
- Push/pull up to 25 pounds repeatedly and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
