Position Summary

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Break down, trim, and slice subprimals to customer specifications and standards.
• Recognize and report subprimals that are out of specification to the lead.
• Use specialized equipment, including knives, hooks, and steels.
• Maintain and sharpen equipment as needed.
• Work in a high-paced environment, maintaining high yields.
• Comply with personal safety, food safety, product quality, and good manufacturing practices.
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Report any unsafe conditions to management.
• Understand and apply appropriate safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience & Skills

• 0-1 years of experience in related field preferred.
• Successfully complete position-specific training.
• Complete all other on-the-job training.
• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing plant environment with noise, extreme temperatures, and significant movement of equipment.
• Typical of a food manufacturing facility.
• May require lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Requires frequent and/or infrequent bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, using hands/fingers, talking, hearing, feeling objects/tools, controls, and standing/walking on concrete flooring.
• May require standing/walking for greater than 4 hours.
