About the Role

The Cook is responsible for following certified formulas and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) under the guidance of the Plant Manager to ensure products meet Park 100 Foods' quality expectations. This role involves working independently, completing repetitive tasks, and maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Follow cook formulas, including adding ingredients to batches, monitoring, and documenting processes as required.
  • Visually verify proper amounts and order of raw materials.
  • Operate kettles using electronic controls and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
  • Monitor and document processes using iPad-based productivity and food safety applications.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and legibly.
  • Operate hand-held temperature monitoring devices.
  • Report maintenance issues and assist technicians in troubleshooting.
  • Maintain sanitary conditions during production, including setup, operation, and teardown of kettles.
  • Handle cleaning chemicals safely, using protective equipment such as gloves and eyewear.
  • Communicate effectively with fellow processing team members.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety procedures, regulations, and standards.
  • Assist in training new cook room employees.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with multiple demands.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 0-1 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to understand written English and demonstrate verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate math skills.
  • Ability to work with technology and follow detailed instructions.
  • Self-motivated with minimal direction required.
  • Ability to complete repetitive tasks efficiently.
  • Sense of urgency in completing tasks and ability to learn quickly.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
  • Desire to work independently with a positive attitude.
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays as required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma and/or equivalent work experience is required.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing plant with noise, extreme temperatures, and movement of powered equipment, people, and conveyors.
  • Typical conditions of a food manufacturing facility.
  • Physical requirements may include lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching, and reaching.
  • Ability to stand or walk on concrete flooring for more than 4 hours.
  • No domestic travel required.
