Job Summary
This position is responsible for the preparation of all meals for patient services, the café, and catering; follows all applicable recipes or procedures when cooking; monitors food temperature, storage, rotation, and workstation sanitation to ensure meals are prepared according to hospital safety standards. May perform other duties related to food service or safety.
Minimum Qualifications
- High diploma, GED, or Foreign equivalent
- In lieu of H.S. Diploma, two years of professional cook experience
- Two years of experience
- Ability to apply elementary math functions
- Ability to work well under time constraints
- Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out detailed, easy-to-follow written or oral instructions
- Ability to speak clearly and distinctly with appropriate pauses, emphasis and correct pronunciation

Salary Range
The current salary range for this position is $21.00 to $28.88. Rady Children’s Hospital is committed to compensation that is externally competitive and internally equitable.
