About the Role

R&B Sewer & Drain, owned by Ron Zimmerman, is a trusted subcontractor for drain cleaning services, serving nearly 30 plumbing companies within 100 miles of Columbus, OH. The team handles challenging drain cleaning emergencies 24/7, with a reputation for honesty and quality work.

You’ll operate durable, reliable drain cleaning and inspection equipment, including the JM-2512 Typhoon™ trailer jet, to tackle large-scale blockages such as grease, sediment, ice, and roots in residential and commercial lines.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-pressure water jetting using the JM-2512 Typhoon™ trailer jet to clear blockages in large or remote drain lines.
• Operate video inspection systems (e.g., Gen-Eye®) to diagnose issues in 2”–10” lines, including root intrusion, scale buildup, and other obstructions.
• Utilize specialized nozzles (e.g., Chain Saw Nozzle) to cut through roots and scrape pipe walls.
• Respond to emergency service calls 24/7, ensuring timely and effective resolution of drain cleaning issues.
• Maintain and operate additional equipment, such as the JM-1600™ electric water jet, Maxi-Rooter®, Mini-Rooter Pro®, and Super-Vee® hand-held drain cleaner.
• Provide honest assessments of drain conditions, avoiding unnecessary repairs and ensuring customer trust.
• Uphold R&B’s 30-day warranty on all drain-cleaning jobs by delivering high-quality, first-time solutions.

Requirements

• Experience with high-pressure water jetting equipment and drain cleaning tools.
• Familiarity with video inspection systems for diagnosing drain and sewer line issues.
• Ability to operate and maintain gas-powered and electric drain cleaning machinery.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and on-call emergencies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to accurately diagnose and resolve drain blockages.
• Commitment to ethical practices, customer transparency, and quality workmanship.
• Physical ability to handle equipment, hoses, and tools in various weather conditions and locations.
