General Tax Accountant

Responsibilities

• Maintain business licenses
• Maintain customer exemption certificates
• Research tax laws for accurate compliance and monthly reporting
• Maintain tax automation software to ensure compliance accuracy
• Transaction tax audit defense
• Property Tax support
• Reviewing purchasing data and preparing journal entries for maintaining compliance accuracy
• Preparing and supporting transaction tax refund claims
• Assisting with various projects as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in tax compliance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
