General Surgeon
About the Role
Part-time General Surgeon position with a national wound physician group, offering clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance. No nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities.
Our physicians provide bedside wound care in over 3,200 facilities across 28 states, utilizing cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities. We offer physician-level wound management training and a wound fellowship to ensure clinical excellence.
This is a mobile practice where physicians visit facilities within a 40–60 mile radius of the practice location, conducting weekly wound rounds at each facility. Physicians typically visit 2-3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20-30 patients daily. Clinical documentation is completed at the point of care using our proprietary wound-specific EMR.
Responsibilities
- Become an expert in wound management through training from highly qualified, wound-certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors.
- Provide bedside wound care in skilled nursing facilities and long-term acute care hospitals.
- Conduct weekly wound rounds at assigned facilities.
- Utilize modern wound care modalities and cutting-edge clinical technologies.
- Complete clinical documentation in real-time during rounds using our proprietary EMR.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice.
- Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week for part-time roles.
- W2 employment contract (no work visa sponsorship available).
Schedule
- Full-time work: Monday - Friday (7am-4pm) or part-time available.
- Part-time role: Minimum of 3 days per week.
- Full-time role: 4-5 days per week, typically a 45-hour work week.
- No call or weekend clinical responsibilities.
Pay
W2 full-time physicians earn on average $300,000 per year plus benefits.
