General Surgeon

About the Role

Part-time General Surgeon position in Hauppauge, NY with a national wound physician group. This role offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend responsibilities.

Our physicians provide bedside wound care in over 3,200 facilities across 28 states, utilizing cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities. We provide physician-level wound management training and a wound fellowship to ensure clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Become an expert in wound management, learning from highly qualified wound-certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors.
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility (Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals).
• Deliver modern wound management at the bedside in the post-acute care setting.
• Visit 2-3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20-30 patients daily.
• Perform clinical documentation at the point of care in real-time using a proprietary wound-specific EMR.
• Travel to facilities within a 40–60 mile radius of the practice location (mobile practice).

Requirements

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice.
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week for part-time roles.
• W2 employment contract (no work visa sponsorship is available).

Schedule

• Full-time work: Monday–Friday (7 AM–4 PM) or part-time available.
• Part-time role: Minimum of 3 days per week.
• Full-time role: 4–5 days per week, routinely a 45-hour work week.
• No call or weekend clinical responsibilities.

Pay

W2 full-time physicians earn on average $300,000 per year plus benefits.
