General Surgeon

About the Role

Part-time General Surgeon position focused on wound management in Hempstead, NY. This role offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and a strong work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend responsibilities.

Our physicians provide bedside wound care in over 3,200 facilities across 28 states, utilizing cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities. Training and a wound fellowship are provided to ensure clinical excellence.

Full-time W2 physicians earn on average $300,000 per year plus benefits, with a routine 45-hour work week. This role is mobile, with physicians visiting facilities within a 40–60 mile radius of the practice location.

Responsibilities

• Become an expert in wound management through training from highly qualified wound-certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors.
• Provide bedside wound care in post-acute care settings, including Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals.
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.
• Visit 2-3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20-30 patients daily.
• Perform clinical documentation at the point of care in real-time using a proprietary wound-specific EMR.

Requirements

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice.
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week for part-time roles.
• W2 employment contract (no work visa sponsorship is available).

Schedule

• Full-time: Monday - Friday (7 AM - 4 PM), 4-5 days per week.
• Part-time: Minimum of 3 days per week, with no call or weekend clinical responsibilities.
