Job Summary

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning, washing, sweeping, and shoveling material.
  • Perform safety and operational inspections.
  • Perform and inspect for preventative plant maintenance.
  • Auxiliary tasks such as operating mobile and fixed plant equipment, and assisting with various tasks throughout the facility.
  • Travel to other facilities as required.
  • Unload and clean rail cars and/or barges as required (if applicable).
  • Maintain grounds by mowing grass, picking up litter, etc.
  • Perform facilities preventative maintenance and assist maintenance personnel in repairs and clean up.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices on equipment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of training and work experience.
  • Entry level experience in mining or construction industry.
  • Ability to speak, read, and have a working knowledge of the English language.
  • Proficiency in operating large equipment, including understanding the controls, gauges, and indicators.
  • Ability to manipulate equipment accurately and smoothly for various tasks.
  • Knowledge of handling attachments and their applications.
  • Adaptability to new conditions, challenges, or changes in the work environment.
  • Attention to detail in completing tasks without overlooking any aspects or elements.
  • Team player who can contribute to the success of a team by working collaboratively, sharing responsibilities, and supporting team goals.
  • Work ethic demonstrating commitment and dedication toward completing tasks with high standards of quality, responsibility, and diligence.
  • Accountability for one’s actions, decisions, and outcomes, both individually and within a team context.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to speak, read, and have a working knowledge of the English language.
  • Ability to operate a skid-steer, fork lift or similar type clean-up loader.
