About the role
This position involves managing and maintaining property accountability records, conducting physical inventories, and processing documentation for the receipt, issue, or transfer of property. Utilizes various software and systems to support supply and logistics operations.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the maintenance of property accountability records.
- Conducts physical inventories of equipment and supplies.
- Processes documentation for the receipt, issue, or transfer of property.
- Utilizes the USACE Automated Personal Property Management System (APPMS).
- Operates a motor vehicle to pick up and deliver supplies and equipment.
- Evaluates local procurements and supply policies and procedures.
- Utilizes the Logistics Information Warehouse to assist in managing the supply program.
- Identifies and reports equipment that is excess, obsolete, or no longer meets mission requirements.
- Analyzes statistics and determines trends in performed operations to recommend appropriate corrective action.
- Maintains accountability of property books for government and vendor-owned equipment.
Requirements
- Conditions of employment include a suitability or fitness determination, background investigation, and a one-year probationary period.
- The position requires a valid state Driver's License within 30 days of employment.
- The position requires lifting up to 20lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
Qualifications
- Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Operations Research, Industrial Management, or a closely related field.
- Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing basic data entry into supply record systems, assisting with the physical counting of stock and supplies, and preparing simple forms related to supply transactions.
- Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
