Key Responsibilities
- Provide oversight and leadership for all piping field operations across multiple active projects
- Directly supervise and support Piping Superintendents and Foremen
- Ensure consistent execution of company standards for safety, quality, and productivity
- Participate in project kickoff meetings, field planning sessions, and leadership reviews
- Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies
- Conduct regular site walks, safety audits, and leadership safety discussions
- Partner with safety teams to address hazards, incident prevention, and corrective actions
- Work closely with Project Managers to develop and support project schedules and manpower plans
- Proactively identify and resolve constructability, labor, or sequencing challenges
- Ensure piping installations meet contract documents, specifications, and quality standards
- Support field quality control, inspections, testing, and turnover activities
- Aid in manpower forecasting, hiring needs, and workforce allocation
- Mentor and develop Superintendents, Foremen, and key craft leaders
- Promote apprenticeship growth, training initiatives, and long-term talent development
- Serve as a key liaison between field teams, fabrication, purchasing, and project management
- Support prefabrication strategies, material planning, and logistics coordination
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and, when appropriate, clients and site leadership
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in commercial or industrial piping construction
- Prior experience as a General Superintendent, Senior Superintendent, or equivalent senior field leadership role
- Strong background in carbon steel, stainless, copper, and specialty piping systems
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and field teams simultaneously
- Deep understanding of construction sequencing, labor productivity, and jobsite logistics
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, schedules, and labor projections
- OSHA 30 (preferred) or willingness to obtain
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between job sites as required
