About the role

We are seeking entry-level General Service hourly labor positions for our Paper Mill in Evadale, TX. This role performs assigned job duties in a safe and efficient manner within the mill, working anywhere in the facility as assigned. Required to work any hours as needed, including overtime, weekends, and holidays, and provide vacancy relief as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work in a heavy manufacturing facility involving standing, walking, working overhead, grasping, pulling, pushing, kneeling, shoveling, climbing stairs and ladders, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
• Safely operate and work around large moving vehicles and equipment.
• Understand and adhere to all mill safety policies and procedures, work safely at all times, and wear required PPE.
• Actively participate in the Mill's safety programs and processes.
• Be personally accountable for your own safety as well as your coworkers'.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years’ industrial experience or an associate degree in an industrial occupation.
• Reliable, dependable, and available to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
• Decision-making and troubleshooting abilities.
• Good communication and computer skills.
• Safety-minded, highly motivated, conscientious, and a good team player with a positive attitude.

Pay

Hourly rate of pay: $22.77.
