Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct regular maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations and brake inspections to ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
- Use diagnostic tools to identify problems with vehicles, including engine, electrical and mechanical systems.
- Fix or replace faulty components including vehicle systems; such as brakes, batteries, and exhaust systems to restore vehicles functionality.
- Communicate with customers to explain vehicle issues.
- Road test vehicles.

Education and Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent, required.
- 0-1 year work experience in general auto repair services or related field.
- Must demonstrate working understanding of vehicle repair procedures, mechanical skills and the ability to lift heavy equipment.
- Strong customer service skills and effective communication are essential.
- US work authorization.
Required Licenses or Certifications
- Driver's License, unrestricted.
- Maintain TIA & ALI certification upon training received.
Work Environment/Expectations
- Work will occur in well-lit, well-ventilated repair shop locations.
- Exposure is grease, car exhaust and chemicals is expected.
- Background noise from coworkers, vehicles and various tools is expected.
- Maintain regular, punctual attendance.
- Must wear required uniform.
- Employee is required to provide and maintain specified tools to perform repairs as required or assigned, at employee’s expense.
Physical Requirements
- Bending, squatting and working under vehicles is expected.
- Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds routinely.
- Use of power tools and mechanic parts are used daily.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to walk, talk, listen and speak clearly.
- Use of fine motor skills is expected.
- Must be able to raise arms above the head and shoulders for extended periods of time.
