General Service Technician

About the role

The General Service Technician performs basic automotive tasks such as oil changes, tire mounting, balancing, rotation, and light vehicle maintenance. They drive vehicles, pick up parts, and maintain shop cleanliness. The role involves supporting team members, following safety procedures, and adhering to company policies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tire mounting, dismounting, balancing & rotation
• Perform oil changes and light vehicle repairs
• Complete multi-point inspections & document vehicle conditions
• Maintain shop cleanliness, organization, and safety
• Drive vehicles safely and courteously, obeying traffic laws
• Report safety concerns and support team tasks
• Follow all safety and company policies

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license
• Ability to obtain or possess a State Inspector License
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems
• Ability to work Monday through Saturday

Requirements

• Exposure to loud noises, dust, fumes, lubricants, and varying temperatures
• Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks required for automotive service
• Vision and hearing must meet safety standards
