General Production Labor 2nd Shift (September) Carthage, MS

About the role

This position is responsible for entry-level non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The role may involve work in any area of Fresh Processing including the DSI, Debone, Deli lines, and Evisceration.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor tasks in Fresh Processing areas.
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow Tyson policies and procedures.
• Use knives or scissors to bone out or trim product, and operate powered equipment such as saws or skinner machines when required.
• Wear required PPE (frocks, gloves, ear protection, hair net, beard guard).

Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, carry, and/or lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work in damp, cold, or hot environments and reach above shoulder level.
• Ability to stand 8–10 hours a day on hard surfaces.
• Capable of performing repetitive motions and climbing stairs to and from work areas.
• Must provide government identification number for verification of prior Tyson employment.
• Applicants who have worked for Tyson Foods three or more times are not eligible for rehire.
• If a background check is required for the role, additional documentation will be provided after an offer.

Pay

$17.45 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential for 2nd shift.
