General Production
About the role
A General Production team member at American Building Supply (ABS), a subsidiary of JELD-WEN, will assist the Distribution division in providing value-added goods and services to customers. This role supports one of the world’s largest door and window manufacturers, operating in 24 countries with over 22,000 employees.
Responsibilities
- Operate small and large machines in the production of doors
- Work on door assembly lines
- Inspect all product for quality
- Material preparation and material handling
- Staging and packaging finished product for delivery
- Perform other general warehouse duties as needed
Requirements
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Basic math skills including fractions
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without assistance
- Manual labor work experience preferred

- Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must occasionally move stock, materials, and unfinished and finished product in and near work areas
Work Environment

- Exposure to vibrations and loud noises

Pay
Expected pay for this role is between $23.74 to $25.58 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
