Compensation

Hourly Competitive Starting Pay – $19.35 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform essential production tasks using hand tools, knives, machinery, and other equipment to process meat products for consumers.
• Maintain a safe and efficient production line and support coworkers.
• Follow oral and written instructions and adhere to safety, quality, and teamwork standards.
• Work scheduled shifts and may be required to work overtime depending on production demands.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Continuous/repetitive movement including grasping, pinching, flexing, and extending arms.
• Standing on concrete and/or platforms for up to a 12‑hour shift.
• Working around animal blood, carcass parts, strong odors, and sanitation chemicals.
• Using knives (if trained) and operating hand tools, machinery, and equipment.
• Working in cold areas (approximately 20‑40 °F) and warm areas (over 100 °F); wet, humid, and noisy environments.
• Wearing required personal protective equipment: hard hat, hearing/eye protection, steel‑toed safety shoes.
• Climbing/moving on ladders, steps, stairways, walkways, and platforms; bending, stooping, twisting, and walking long distances.
• Lifting repetitive overhead loads up to 30 lb, single lifts up to 60 lb, or using mechanical assistance for heavier objects.
• May require certification to operate specific equipment.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Willing and able to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to perform continuous/repetitive movements and handle physical demands listed above.
• Ability to work scheduled shifts and overtime as needed.
• Ability to work safely in an environment with animal blood, carcass parts, strong odors, and sanitation chemicals.
• Ability to use personal protective equipment and adhere to safety protocols.
