General Production - 1st shift

About the role

Cooper Farms is a family-owned farm and food company based in Northwest Ohio for over 85 years. Our Van Wert Cooked Meats Plant in Van Wert County, Ohio creates, cooks, and slices some of the highest quality deli products on the market for brands you know and trust. This is an entry-level position with all training provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain knowledge of departmental equipment and operations
• Ensure all assigned procedures are carried out efficiently in accordance with production, quality, and safety guidelines
• Work with others to maintain high standards in all areas and report any abnormalities
• Accurately complete all required paperwork

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age
• Ability to be on feet for prolonged periods of time
• Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 100 pounds
• Must be able to work in a cool, damp environment

Schedule

1st shift: Monday through Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm or 7:00am–3:30pm.

Pay

Starting hourly rate: $17.50 with a potential increase to $17.75 at 90 days. Additional pay includes monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance).
