Key Responsibilities
- Lead fundraising efforts with family offices, HNWIs, and institutional LPs
- Build and maintain strong relationships with limited partners
- Represent the firm in investor meetings and venture ecosystem events
- Source high-quality startup opportunities globally
- Lead due diligence and investment decision processes
- Structure deals and manage investment execution
- Work closely with founders to support product, hiring, GTM, and fundraising
- Provide strategic guidance and introductions
- Help companies scale from pre-seed to growth stages
- Help shape 16VC’s investment thesis and strategy
- Build the firm's brand and presence in the startup ecosystem
- Contribute to recruiting investment team members and advisors
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience: 4+ years in venture capital, startups, private equity, or tech leadership
- Track record of investing in or building successful startups
- Strong understanding of early-stage venture investing
- Network: Strong relationships with founders, investors, and operators
- Access to LP networks including family offices and high-net-worth individuals
- Expertise: Experience in one or more areas: AI, deep tech, enterprise SaaS, fintech, Web3
- Strong ability to evaluate technology-driven businesses
- Attributes: Founder-first mindset, strong judgment and analytical thinking, high integrity and long-term orientation, entrepreneurial, comfortable building from zero
