About the Role

Nashville Classical East seeks educators who are committed to working hard, having fun, and making history. Our teachers educate a diverse community through a joyful, rigorous curriculum within a structured, intentional culture, building a foundation of knowledge and habits for high school, college, and life.

Responsibilities

• Internalize and execute common curricula, including unit plans, lesson plans, and materials.
• Build achievement‑oriented cultures during key moments such as morning motivation, lunch, recess, and closing circle.
• Implement school‑wide systems for scholar culture.
• Communicate regularly with families and attend quarterly evening events (e.g., Report Card Conferences, Cultural Heritage Nights).
• Engage in ongoing professional development, including weekly sessions until 4:30 pm.
• Teach a daily schedule from 7:17 am to 3:37 pm.
• Attend three weeks of summer professional development starting in July 2024.
• Do whatever it takes to achieve the mission of Nashville Classical.

Schedule

Daily teaching hours are from 7:17 am to 3:37 pm. Additionally, teachers participate in three weeks of summer professional development beginning in July 2024 and attend weekly professional development sessions that run until 4:30 pm.
