General Office Assistant (Criminal Trials Division)
About the role
This position provides general support for the Special Assistant Attorneys General hired under the Distressed Cities Initiative. Duties include monitoring the Criminal Trials portal, handling incoming cases, managing citizen correspondence, using various software applications, and performing a variety of administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage the Criminal Trials portal
- Open incoming cases to the division
- Handle incoming citizen correspondence by importing from Legal Files
- Answer incoming phone lines for the CT Division and the mainline to the Detroit location of the Department of Attorney General
- Process mail daily for the Detroit divisions
- Prepare DTMB Visitor Requests
- Set up trainings held in the Detroit office
- Maintain the library and Record Center processing
Requirements
- Knowledge of various software applications
- Flexibility to perform a wide variety of duties
