General Merchandise Clerk - Afternoon and Evening

About the role

As a Stocking Clerk at Meijer, you will deliver remarkable customer service by providing exceptional product knowledge, efficient service, and a friendly attitude. This entry‑level position involves a variety of retail tasks related to product handling, customer service, and merchandising, ensuring shelves are ready for a great day.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated back‑room areas.
• Work closely with leadership to ensure assigned areas are completed on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.

Requirements

• Comfortable learning and using basic technology.
• Ability to follow processes and procedures in an organized, efficient way.
• Stay calm and productive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Enjoy being part of a team and supporting shared goals.
• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb, bend, twist, push, pull, and stand for extended periods.

Pay

Compensation is provided on a weekly basis.
