About the role
The General Manager will coordinate local setup and support daily operations across manufacturing, logistics, and basic staffing. This is a hands-on role focused on enabling production, maintaining facility readiness, and ensuring alignment with technical and commercial leadership in the UK.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate site setup, equipment commissioning, and contractor scheduling
- Manage day-to-day operations across fabrication, stores, and general services
- Oversee shift scheduling, entry-level hiring, and basic training needs
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and site procedures
- Serve as point of contact for local suppliers, vendors, and facility support
- Liaise regularly with UK Directors to maintain reporting and alignment
- P&L responsibility
Requirements
- 5+ years in manufacturing or facilities operations, preferably composites or aerospace
- Experience setting up or running mid-size technical workshops or sites
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Qualifications
- Knowledge of working on Grant & Customer funded projects is an advantage
