D5 Capital Holdings · Denver, CO · 2 wk ago
On-siteManagement$100k–$120k/yrFull-time

About the role

The General Manager (GM) at StruXure operates the Colorado branch, responsible for full profit-and-loss (P&L) responsibility and leading both sales and operations from lead generation through final installation, collection, and close-out.

Responsibilities

  • Own the branch P&L; revenue, gross margin, operating expense, and net profit against plan.
  • Build and manage the branch budget and forecast; review performance against it regularly and act on variances early.
  • Protect gross margin through pricing discipline, labor and material cost control, and change-order capture.
  • Review job costing across active and completed projects, ensuring overruns are flagged early and resolved.
  • Avoid branch spending; ensure receipts, POs, and job costs are documented per company SOPs.
  • Report branch financial and operational performance to the Director of Operations and ownership accurately and on time.
  • Lead the branch sales function through the Sales Manager and reps; own pipeline health, conversion, and quota attainment.
  • Set and enforce pricing discipline and approval thresholds; serve as final authority on pricing outside standard guidelines.
  • Ensure every sale clears the company's four non-negotiables before handoff, protecting production and margin.
  • Coach the sales team on the design-sell-install model, customer expectations, and clean handoffs to production.
  • Drive demand through lead generation, marketing alignment, and local market growth.
  • Hold the sales team accountable to CRM hygiene and accurate handoff packages.
  • Lead the Project Managers, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to manufacturer standards.
  • Own the GM Review gate: validate sales compliance, confirm scope, and assign the Project Manager for each released project.
  • Oversee the warehouse and delivery teams to ensure material is received, staged, and delivered to support the schedule.
  • Maintain production capacity and the subcontractor bench so scheduling doesn't become a bottleneck.
  • Lead the branch WIP cadence so every active project has accurate status and no surprises.
  • Hire, onboard, develop, and retain branch talent across sales, project management, and warehouse/delivery.
  • Model and enforce the company's four core qualities — accountability, vision, passion, integrity — across the team.
  • Serve as final authority on change-order pricing outside standard guidelines and on unusual or structural scope.
  • Enforce the no-signature-no-work standard on all change orders.
  • Own customer escalations as the point of last resort — disputes, quality issues, and final-walk standoffs.
  • Support final-payment collection in the field when needed.

Requirements

  • Prior experience leading a profit center or branch with full or shared P&L responsibility.
  • Demonstrated success leading both a sales function and an operations/production function.
  • Experience managing managers — hiring, developing, and holding accountable sales leaders, project managers, or operations leads.
  • Strong command of business financials: reading a P&L, managing gross margin, controlling cost, and forecasting.
  • Proven ability to build and run a sales engine: pipeline management, conversion, pricing discipline, and quota performance.
  • Experience overseeing field operations, scheduling, or installation in a project- or service-driven business.
  • Clear, credible communication with customers, employees, subcontractors, and ownership.
  • Comfort in a fast-paced, multi-function, growth environment.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred

  • Experience in residential construction, outdoor living, specialty structures, home improvement, or a design-sell-install model.
  • Familiarity with the StruXure product line or comparable manufactured outdoor structure systems.
  • Experience managing a commissioned sales team alongside a subcontract-labor field model.
  • Track record of scaling a branch or location — growing revenue while protecting margin and customer experience.
  • Experience operating in a KPI-managed, scorecard-driven organization (EOS / L-10 / WIP cadence a plus).

What You Bring

  • Competitive base salary, commensurate with experience, plus performance-based incentive.
  • Healthcare reimbursement.
  • Paid time off.
  • Mileage reimbursement.
  • Paid training program.
  • Flexible schedule.
  • Full-Time, Exempt classification.
