About the role
As General Manager, Crushing & Screening, you will lead a team responsible for maximizing company rental services results in Southern and Central California. You will serve as a senior leader, providing strategic direction, establishing high-level customer relationships, and driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Establish policies and procedures for Rental Services operations.
- Create and maintain a culture of safety, visibly committed to safety excellence.
- Develop annual goals and objectives, and plan and implement budgets and action plans.
- Engage in strategic planning and seek new business opportunities.
- Meet corporate targets for direct expenses.
- Determine facility locations and appropriate configurations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements.
- Establish and maintain inventory to meet Rental Services goals.
- Assist in marketing dealer services and establish competitive, profitable rental rates.
- Manage subordinate Operations Managers and support staff, coordinating workflow between branches and departments.
- Hire, train, and develop a cohesive team.
- Monitor and resolve customer satisfaction issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain relationships with other Business Unit managers and the Caterpillar Los Angeles District Office.
- Review operational reports, assess needs, and direct changes to improve operations.
- Make quarterly visits to Branch Stores.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
- Ten years of industry experience, with a minimum of five years in a management position overseeing a workforce of 200 or more, preferably in vehicle rental, retail, or service.
- Proven track record of successful leadership, demonstrating strong strategic thinking skills through problem resolution and collaborative experiences.
Pay
$138,000 - $175,000, depending on experience and education.
