Job Description
- Oversee overall hotel operations, including hiring, training, budgeting, sales, guest service, associate satisfaction, owner satisfaction, revenue management, and timely reporting.
- Assist teams hands‑on, embodying the “ONE TEAM. ONE VISION.” philosophy.
- Promote and engage in internal growth programs and continuously exemplify the company culture.
- Meet or exceed company goals and three key performance metrics.
- Complete all required brand‑specific, Vision University, and health & safety training.
- Adhere to Vision Hospitality Group and property‑specific brand standards.
- Perform additional duties as requested by management to improve hotel operations and guest service.
- Provide personalized, friendly service to every guest and associate.
- Set and implement an annual goals program; monitor performance and guide associates in career development.
- Select, train, and direct department managers and other associates as needed.
- Ensure associates are well‑versed in policies, procedures, brand standards, and Vision Hospitality standards.
- Develop annual operating and capital budgets and comply with corporate accounting procedures.
- Lead and actively participate in the hotel’s Sales & Marketing efforts, including developing annual marketing plans.
- Deliver exceptional guest‑service results measured through satisfaction scores and social‑media sites such as TripAdvisor.
- Inspect the property regularly and implement action plans for safety, comfort, and cleanliness upgrades.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year previous hotel experience (AGM or operations management experience preferred).
- Desire to operate a “best in class” hotel.
- Ability to ensure associate practices comply with Vision Hospitality Group policies, brand standards, and legal requirements.
- Dependable transportation.
- Flexibility to work a 24/7 schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Necessary Skills
- Maintain confidentiality of business functions, financial status, guest information, and associate issues.
- Responsibility for safety and security of guests, associates, and hotel assets.
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems and evacuation procedures.
- Effective written, verbal, and in‑person communication.
- Strong leadership, problem‑solving, and interpersonal abilities.
- Organized, honest, outgoing personality; ability to work well with others.
- Commitment to integrity, humility, and the Golden Rule.
- Ability to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
- Physical ability to bend, reach, kneel, push, stretch, lift/carry up to 25 lb, stand/walk for 8 hours, and work in restrictive spaces.
- Clear, understandable voice; basic hearing ability; proficiency in English.
- Vision both near and far; comfortable using a step stool or ladder; able to use/lift arms for up to 8 hours; handle heat and stress; finger dexterity for operating equipment.
