About the role
The General Manager will lead OMB Riverview at Mount Holly, our third Brauhaus & Biergarten, opening Fall 2026. This role is ideal for a hospitality leader who sets the standard, inspires teams, and takes pride in delivering an outstanding guest experience every single day.
Launch OMB Riverview
- Own pre-opening readiness — hiring, training, vendor and systems setup, and operating standards.
- Recruit and develop the founding leadership team, instilling OMB’s culture and standards from day one.
- Partner with senior leadership on the opening timeline, licensing, and launch execution.
Lead with Purpose and Presence
- Set the tone and standard for leadership, hospitality, and professionalism throughout the organization.
- Serve as a visible, engaged leader who is regularly on the floor, connecting with guests and supporting the team.
- Inspire a culture of accountability, pride, and continuous improvement.
Create an Exceptional Guest Experience
- Ensure every guest receives warm, welcoming, and consistent hospitality.
- Champion service excellence across the restaurant, biergarten, and tasting room.
- Uphold the quality, presentation, and authenticity of OMB's food and beer at all times.
Build and Develop Great Teams
- Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and develop a strong leadership team and staff at all levels.
- Cook and mentor managers, helping them grow as leaders and decision-makers.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture aligned with OMB's core values.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe service.
- Align front-of-house, back-of-house, and support teams to deliver a seamless experience.
- Maintain strict compliance with health, safety, and ABC regulations.
Stewardship and Responsibility
- Manage labor, scheduling, and operating costs responsibly and thoughtfully.
- Use data and observation to guide decisions that improve efficiency, quality, and consistency.
- Partner with senior leadership on planning, special events, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in high-volume restaurant, hospitality, or biergarten operations.
- Proven track record of building, coaching, and retaining strong management teams.
- Deep operational fluency — labor, scheduling, P&L, inventory, and cost controls.
- Working knowledge of NC ABC regulations, food safety standards, and applicable health codes.
- Exceptional communication, presence, and judgment under pressure.
- Genuine passion for craft beer, food, and hospitality — and a commitment to OMB's standard of quality.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as the business requires.
