About the role
We are seeking a qualified General Manager to oversee all studio functionality from sales to operations for our luxury barre-fitness brand. This role offers the opportunity to interact with clients daily and build a supportive, meaningful community.
Responsibilities
- Lead generation through grassroots marketing and networking
- Implement sales process to schedule prospects into introductory classes
- Drive membership and retail sales
- Manage staff schedules
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure studio retail/products are stocked and inventory counts are accurate
- Supervise Sales Representatives
- Hire and manage all studio instructors
- Use gym management software and POS to generate revenue reports, attendance reports, and other data
- Review instructor evaluations
- Make independent decisions related to high-level customer service
- Collect outstanding dues
- Maintain studio cleanliness and organization
- Enforce studio policies and procedures
- Ensure all administrative supplies, forms, and studio literature are stocked and visible
- Schedule and participate in networking/community events and studio promotions
- Strategically manage marketing campaigns to generate leads
- Perform any other assigned duties
Requirements
- 2+ years of fitness sales or relevant sales experience preferred
- Confidence in generating personal sales and training Sales Representatives
- Ability to manage and drive multiple revenue streams, including memberships and retail
- Previous management or supervisory experience required
- Fluent in English with excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills (in person and over the phone)
- Ability to excel in a fast-changing, diverse environment
- Solution-based, results-oriented, and competitive mindset
- Ability to recognize areas of improvement and implement changes using good judgment
- Passion for fitness
- Highly organized, proficient in data management, and able to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Professional, punctual, reliable, and neat
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Trustworthy and able to handle confidential information
- Ability to work harmoniously with coworkers, clients, and the public
- Proficiency with computers and studio software
- College degree preferred
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
Pay
Competitive base rate with commission paid on sales and a monthly bonus if all sales goals are met.
