General Maintenance Worker

About the role

Under general supervision, perform general maintenance and repair of building structures and assist with maintenance of grounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair tasks including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
• Assist with grounds maintenance such as landscaping, snow removal, and equipment operation.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with other maintenance staff and supervisors.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid Texas driver’s license with a good driving record.
• May be required to successfully complete job ability testing.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic construction and routine maintenance and repair procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbally).
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Ability to work independently.
• Knowledge using computers or iPads.

Skills

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
