General Maintenance Technician III

Job Responsibilities

• Working on Upper Coastal Waterfowl Project properties including: Samworth, Santee Coastal, Santee Delta.
• Efficiently operating a long reach trackhoe.
• Constructing dikes and re-topping dikes as needed.
• Maintaining trackhoe and conducting preventative maintenance.
• Operating other heavy equipment as needed on the Project.
• Assisting with the installation of water control structures.
• Supporting Upper Coastal Waterfowl Project where needed (i.e. hunting, burning and/or maintenance activities).

Minimum And Additional Requirements

• A high school diploma and four (4) years of experience in a specialized trades area.
• The ability to obtain a CDL and Captains license.

Preferred Qualifications

• The ability to proficiently and safely operate a long reach trackhoe.
• The ability to troubleshoot and make minor repairs to heavy equipment.
• The ability to work off of mats and in remote areas with the trackhoe.
• The ability to safely operate a boat and motor.
• The ability to operate bulldozer, backhoe and other heavy equipment.
