General Maintenance Technician I

About the role

The General Maintenance Technician I performs maintenance service and repairs at our resort ensuring that all facilities and villas are maintained to the highest standards. This role includes performing routine inspections, addressing maintenance requests, and executing repairs to enhance the guest experience and maintain safety.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic routine maintenance and preventative maintenance on plumbing fixtures, windows, doors, lighting, and other assets within the property.
• Basic troubleshooting and repairs: Examples include repairing door hinges, furniture assembly, changing air filters and vents, touch-up paint, caulking.
• Minor plumbing and electrical: Examples include unclogging drains and toilets, replacing light bulbs.
• Inspections and capturing needed repairs: Identifies and addresses repair needs to keep all assets fully functional and visually well-maintained.
• Guest interaction: Responds to guest requests promptly, demonstrating a customer-focused approach.
• Corrective maintenance: Responds to guest and staff calls, helps maintain a clean and safe worksite by removing debris, reporting cleanliness issues to the proper team, and preparing for inclement weather events.
• Maintain accurate records: Adhere to all company, Brand, Safety, OSHA, and compliance standards and regulations, including the completion of company training and the training of fellow teammates, as assigned by the leader.

Qualifications

• No experience required
• Basic maintenance knowledge and skills are preferred

Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• Vocational training is a plus
