General Maintenance Laborer/Landscaper - Bedford Campus (3 Vacancies)

About the role
Individuals in this position will complete janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, grounds keeping or maintenance tasks. There are three vacancies available for part-time assistance in facilities operations on the Bedford campus.
Responsibilities
- Completes in-house demolition work
- Cleans and maintains safe work areas
- Loads, unloads, and cleans vehicles
- Removes trash and recyclables
- Paints and refreshes spaces after construction
- Operates motor vehicles
- Assists craftspeople performing building and grounds maintenance
- Sweeps floors and sidewalks, rakes leaves and operates grounds maintenance equipment
- Maintains clean and safe work areas
- Assists in beautification of campus grounds
- Performs other duties as required
Requirements
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to understand and apply the laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, specifications, standards and guidelines governing assigned unit activities
- Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with others
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
- Ability to climb and work on ladders and scaffolds
- Possession of a valid Driver's license
Pay
$18.25 per hour
Schedule
- Not to exceed 20 hours per week
- Exact schedule to be determined upon hire with a 6:30am start time
- Occasional travel to Lowell campus as needed
