Responsibilities
- Inspect and maintain manufacturing machinery and equipment
- Interpret schematics, prints, diagrams, and oral instructions and apply them to the task at hand
- Troubleshoot and identify hazards and diagnose malfunctioning systems
- Perform corrective, preventive maintenance & calibrations
- Prepare new machines and production equipment for operation
- Disassemble machines and repair or replace broken parts
- Perform welding, grinding, and flame cutting activities
- Able to work as part of a team and contribute to the maintenance team and facility in general
- Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as pneumatic tools, motors, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment using testing instruments, hand/power tools, and precision-measuring instruments
- Operation of tool room equipment (lathe, mill, drill presses, etc.)
- Maintain safe and clean working environment
- Comply with company procedures, rules, and regulations
- All other duties as assigned by supervision
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years experience as an industrial maintenance technician/machine repairman or associated work
- Strong verbal and oral communication skills
- Ability to read blueprints/design schematics
- Ability to work in a strong safety-focused environment
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems
- Ability to work any shift and overtime as required
