Responsibilities
- Construction and renovation of existing and new SCDC facilities
- Apply extensive knowledge of building codes and blueprint reading
- Supervise an inmate work crew
- Erect metal buildings and form/pour concrete
- Work overtime and participate in on-call rotation as required
- Complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Five (5) years of experience in all phases of the construction field
- Knowledge of South Carolina Procurement Regulations
- Trades experience related to the area of employment
