About the role
Responsible for construction and renovation of existing and new SCDC facilities. Requires extensive working knowledge of building codes and the ability to read blueprints. Includes supervision of an inmate work crew, metal building erection, and forming and pouring concrete. Position may require overtime and participation in an on-call rotation. Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Five (5) years of experience in all phases of the construction field
- Knowledge of South Carolina Procurement Regulations
- Trades experience related to the area of employment
