General Machine Operator

About the role

The General Machine Operator will safely control various machines and equipment involved in production, primarily in Press and Bindery. This is a great opportunity to receive training with multiple production machines.

Responsibilities

• Operates production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications.
• Assigned machines may include the press, bindery, and mailing inserter machines, with other machines assigned dependent on experience
• Reviews department schedule and production order details to determine job specifications including deadline for completion
• Sets up and operates equipment
• Loads and unloads material from machines
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace at all times
• Assist with other day-to-day operations of the machine
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be a motivated self-starter and eager to learn, grow, and seek future promotion
• Must be organized, mechanically inclined, and be able to maintain attention to detail
• Must be able to follow instructions, be teachable, and able to multi-task
• Must be able to repeated life and re-stack up to 50 lbs through a work shift

Prior experience using print production machines, preferred
