General Liability Claims Adjuster II

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage caseload within established targets and appropriate level.
• Ensure thorough investigations, evaluations, negotiation, and disposition of all claims, while maintaining compliance with statutory and legal obligations.
• Maintain service level targets and achieve established claims goals.
• Develop strategies to provide optimal outcomes and mitigate Total Cost of Risk to the Brands' bottom lines.
• Identify fraud indicators and pursue subrogation opportunities.
• Collaborate with the Safety department to identify and minimize risks in retail and distribution operations.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers.
• Administer book of claims business (up to $2 million) with authority to settle/negotiate claims up to $25,000.
• Communicate incident causes to Safety and Brands.
• Address and resolve claim issues impacting customers, associates, vendors, and Brands.
• Research and resolve claim/legal issues.
• Provide timely communication regarding claims, issue resolutions, and answering inquiries via phone, email, and online applications.

Qualifications

• Licensed adjuster (as appropriate by jurisdiction).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in handling General Liability claims.
• Thorough knowledge of relevant rules, regulations, statutes, and procedures.
• Knowledge of medical terminology involved in complex claims.
• Negotiation skills for claims of various exposures and complexities.

Benefits

Salary range varies based on qualifications and experience, but ranges from $63,440-$95,160 in IL/MA/MD/NY.
