General Liability Attorney

About the role

A well-established and highly respected insurance defense and civil litigation firm with a strong footprint throughout the Northeast is seeking a Litigation Associate with 2–7 years of experience to join its team in Boston, Worcester, or Hartford.

Responsibilities

• Handle a varied litigation caseload including:
• Construction losses
• Liquor liability
• Premises liability
• Trucking accidents
• Product liability matters
• Gain meaningful courtroom and deposition experience
• Participate in trial preparation and assist with trial strategy
• Take and defend depositions
• Work directly with experts
• Attend site inspections
• Draft, argue, and respond to motions

Qualifications

• 2–7 years of litigation experience
• Admitted to practice law in Massachusetts and/or Connecticut
• Strong academic credentials
• Experience in insurance defense, general liability, product liability, construction litigation, or related civil litigation preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Admission in multiple states or willingness to gain additional bar admission
• Strong deposition and motion practice experience
• Interest in long-term litigation growth and courtroom development
