It focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, including lease accounting under ASC 842, expense management, bank transaction processing, and audit readiness. The organization supports a collaborative environment to ensure timely and precise financial reporting. 2.About the Opportunity:The General Ledger Accountant plays a crucial role in supporting the monthly close process by managing specific general ledger areas such as lease accounting, expense reports, bank transactions, and reconciliations. This position contributes to the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls while supporting audit and process improvement efforts. 3. Responsibilities:• Maintain lease schedules and prepare monthly journal entries per ASC 842.• Reconcile right-of-use asset and lease liability accounts monthly.• Update lease schedules to reflect new, modified, or terminated leases.• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for lease accounting.• Process and review employee expense reports for accuracy and policy compliance.• Reconcile corporate credit card transactions and post them timely.• Follow up on missing receipts, exceptions, or coding issues.• Maintain SOPs for expense report and credit card processes.• Upload and code bank transactions daily and monthly, ensuring accuracy.• Identify and escalate discrepancies to management.• Maintain SOPs for bank transaction processes.• Prepare reconciliations for assigned areas and resolve items promptly.• Complete close tasks according to schedule and escalate issues.• Keep documentation organized and audit-ready.• Prepare audit schedules and support audit requests.• Adhere to internal controls and accounting policies, report gaps.• Identify and implement process improvements.• Utilize ERP system functionalities and support system enhancements.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate data flow.• Support additional accounting tasks and projects as assigned. 4. Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.• 1-3 years of experience with month-end close and general ledger reconciliations.• Knowledge of ASC 842 lease accounting preferred.• Experience with expense management tools such as Emburse preferred.• Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems preferred.• Proficient in Excel functions including pivot tables and lookup formulas.• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.• Effective communication skills and proactive issue identification.• Ability to work independently and collaboratively. 5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:• $75,000 - $85,000 annually.• Compensation varies based on internal structure, geographic region, and candidate qualifications.• Eligible for performance-based bonuses according to plan terms. 6.
