Job Summary

Loenbro is seeking dedicated and hardworking Construction Laborers / Helpers to assist with various construction tasks, ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently. This physically demanding role requires mindfulness, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols. The position is full‑time, non‑exempt, and reports to a Journeyman, Lead, or Foreman.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup and cleanup of construction sites.
• Load and unload materials and equipment.
• Operate hand and power tools under supervision.
• Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and compact soil.
• Assist with the installation of construction materials such as pipes, concrete, and steel.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.

Minimum Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma.
• TWIC Card and/or Real ID required.
• Ability to work from ladders and scaffolds.
• Capability to lift and carry objects and materials of various weights.
• Skilled in basic math, including adding and subtracting fractions (preferred).
• Able to pass preliminary and periodic drug testing.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The role involves exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures, manufacturing, pipeline, and refining environments, and confined spaces such as tanks and vessels. Employees must be able to fit and move in limited working surfaces, tolerate noise above 85 decibels, intense odors, and areas with limited visibility. Compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro’s Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies is required.
