Primary responsibilities
- Capable of meeting or exceeding designated efficiency and productivity rates.
- Ability to differentiate between the acceptable and unacceptable quality of raw, semi-finished, and finished materials.
- Able to accurately fill out paperwork, such as documenting the start time of running the product and initial temperature.
- Ability to perform and rotate each of the positions on the assigned line and able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems, make basic repairs, and document adjustments as needed.
- Willing to assist other employees and departments as needed.
- Willing to cross-train on other production line equipment and positions.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, 6 days a week as well as weekends.
- Able to work weekends, holidays, and including the potential for nights.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Willing to perform other duties as assigned.
Education
- A high school diploma or GED is desired.
- Two or more years’ prior experience operating production equipment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of equipment troubleshooting and repair.
- Ability to operate a forklift if needed.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Possess basic computer knowledge.
