General Labor, Bakery-Sanitation - 2nd Shift

About the role

We are seeking a General Labor, Bakery Sanitation team member to join our team at our Alsip, IL bakery.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production equipment and work areas in alignment with company and regulatory standards
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment to ensure thorough cleaning and safe operation
• Handle and apply cleaning chemicals safely while maintaining proper labeling and storage
• Maintain accurate sanitation records according to SSOP requirements
• Maintain clean, organized chemical rooms and sanitation areas
• Follow GMPs, food safety rules, and sanitation procedures consistently
• Build effective working relationships to support sanitation and production teams

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to work various shifts, including weekends
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions
• Ability to work safely with chemicals and follow sanitation instructions
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured procedures
• Basic understanding of GMPs and food safety practices

Qualifications

• Preferred qualifications include:
• Experience in the food industry, preferably in sanitation
• Experience disassembling production equipment for cleaning
• HACCP or food-safety-related training
• Ability to work in fast-paced, frequently changing environments
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Pay

Hourly Rate: $20 – $23

Hours: 2PM - 10:30AM
Weekend availability: Required (schedule subject to change based on production needs)
