About the role

Cardinal Staffing. is seeking dependable and hardworking General Laborers to join our production team in Livonia, MI. This entry-level position plays a key role in supporting daily operations within our refrigerated meat processing and packaging facility.

Responsibilities

• Packaging and labeling meat and food products according to company specifications and quality standards.
• Loading and unloading products from production lines and designated workstations.
• Weighing, sorting, and inspecting products for quality, accuracy, and consistency.
• Operating basic production equipment and hand tools under supervision.
• Maintaining clean and organized work areas and properly disposing of waste materials.
• Following all food safety, sanitation, and company policies and procedures.
• Performing repetitive tasks, including standing, bending, lifting, and moving products throughout the shift.
• Assisting with end-of-shift cleaning and sanitation activities.
• Supporting production teams and performing additional duties as assigned by supervisors or line leads.

Requirements

• No previous experience required; paid training is provided.
• Ability to work in a cold, fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to following all food safety and hygiene requirements.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
• Experience in a refrigerated meat processing and packaging facility (approximately 35°F).
• Continuous standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
• Exposure to raw meat products, cleaning agents, and production machinery.
• Fast-paced environment requiring adherence to safety and quality standards.
